The Timah Tasoh Dam project in Perlis has the distinction of being the longest earth dam in Malaysia. The main dam has a length of 3.5 kilometres (“km”) while the saddle dam is 1.0 km long inclusive of its widened base.The upgrading works sought primarily to raise the then level of the existing dam some 3.5 metres (“m”) higher for both the main and saddle dams. More than 1.0 million cubic meters\ (“m³”) of imported earth was used for the upgrading works.
