The CIQ Complex, which stands grandly along Sg. Melaka, combines a state-of-the-art passenger ferry terminal and 15th century Malaccan architecture. In order to meet UNESCO’s requirements marking Melaka as a UNESCO Heritage Site, the CiQ was to be constructed based on 15th century architectural designs at a restricted height specified by the authorities.
